The Galleries Association have provided a bus tour of the North Kensington area for over a year now, nearly on a monthly basis. Portobello Radio has really enjoyed being part of the project, bringing guest commentators & musicians aboard this crazy little trip circulating the local Art Galleries & streaming it all live. Occasionally we sling-shot off our route & end up in another part of London. Last year we landed at The Prince Of Wales Pub in Brixton & took the roof off with a Dub clash. DBC meets Coxsone with DJ Mekka & Blacker Dread playing Roots & Lovers. Adrian Jae presented his monthly show “Straight Outta Brixton”, Double Agent7 joined in with rare 7″ Rock ‘n’ Roll & Charlotte Devaney lifted us with classic UK Garage & Jungle.
In April 2019 we take the Bus to Earth Hackney in Dalston with another great line up. Dave & Jason present their Soul45 Show live with choice create diggers delights. Neville Hyde & Lucy Temple bring The “40 Something Disco” vibe, Local DJ Hamish debuts & our own Piers Thompson heats up his Soul furnace.
